Self-hosted Plex stewardship
Stewardarr brings invitations, access policy, activity, requests and thoughtful library review into one control plane that runs beside Plex.
Interactive product demo
Step inside the real Stewardarr application using fictional administrator and member accounts. Explore onboarding, access tiers, activity, requests and library review with realistic demo settings, media metadata and a full year of generated viewing activity.
Everything is isolated and temporary. The demo never signs in to your Plex account, connects to Plex or any other external service, or changes a real media library.
Starts when you choose
Launch the current application with realistic sample members, activity and settings. Nothing is reserved until you press start.
A valid code moves this visit ahead of the standard queue. It never interrupts someone already using a demo.
No sign-up. Private to this browser. Up to one hour; releases after 15 minutes idle.
A calmer control plane
Plex sharing grows one person at a time. Stewardarr keeps the welcome personal while making the rules, records and follow-through consistent.
01 / Welcome
Create invitations for new members, one known member, a whole tier or any existing member. Set expiry and redemption limits, preview the access being offered, and add a reusable onboarding flow.
02 / Govern
Build reusable tiers for libraries, permissions, expiry, streams, watch time and request allowances. Stewardarr tracks the desired policy and brings connected services back into line.
03 / Care
Bring live activity, history and usage into view. Start enforcement in observe-only mode, and use Sweep to ask members before an administrator reviews library actions.
Two sides of the same household
See identities, assignments and connection health in context. Review invitation capacity, policy revisions, usage and operational jobs in one connected operational view.
Create reusable access tiers for the combinations you actually offer.
Reconcile connected services per person or across the whole installation.
Audit consequential actions and keep enforcement observable.
The responsive member portal gathers the information a member needs: current access, activity, requests and Sweep participation, using the Plex identity they already have.
Existing members can also review and redeem eligible renewal or tier-change codes while signed in.
From invitation to ongoing care
Each stage has a clear owner. Stewardarr coordinates; Plex and the optional services keep doing the jobs they are built for.
Shape access
Choose libraries, permissions, expiry and limits. Every effective policy change creates a new revision to reconcile.
Open the door
Choose the audience, link lifetime, redemption capacity and optional onboarding flow. Invitees see what access means before accepting.
Keep services aligned
Stewardarr applies desired Plex access and, when connected, synchronises Seerr request policy against a stable identity.
Watch responsibly
Tautulli supplies live sessions and history. Evaluate stream and watch-time limits in observe-only mode before choosing warnings or termination.
Review the library
Sweep gathers votes, then puts candidates in front of an administrator. Grace periods, current playback and recent watches remain protected.
Fits your media stack
Add the services your household uses. Each application keeps its role while Stewardarr coordinates policy through the connections you configure.

Self-hosted by design
Stewardarr runs as a container in the environment you operate. Administrators and members use their Plex identity on that Stewardarr installation.
Keep the database, browser sessions and signing secret in a persistent data directory.
The owner completes setup with Plex; administrators and members continue to sign in with Plex.
Use configuration export for settings and a stopped app-data backup for complete recovery.
Useful answers
Stewardarr coordinates access and care around the Plex server and companion services you already run.
Plex provides identity, libraries, sharing and playback. Seerr continues to manage requests and its native movie and series quotas. Stewardarr coordinates access and policy across them through their documented APIs.
Members open your Stewardarr installation and sign in with their Plex identity. Their portal brings together current access, activity, requests and Sweep participation.
A tier can define Plex libraries and permissions, membership expiry, concurrent-stream and watch-time limits, plus separate Seerr movie and series request quotas. Limits can inherit defaults, be unlimited, be limited, or be disabled.
Observe-only mode lets you validate stream and watch-time decisions against real sessions first. You can then configure warnings, grace periods and cooldowns, with session termination available as an explicit opt-in.
Sweep gathers member input and presents candidates for explicit administrator review. Before a configured Radarr or Sonarr action runs, Stewardarr checks grace periods, current playback and recent-watch protection.
The container keeps its SQLite database, browser sessions and signing secret in its persistent data directory. Configuration export and full app-data backups support recovery.
Share well. Stay in control.
From the first invitation to the next library review, Stewardarr gives every decision a clear place to happen.
